HYBRID Online/Offline Camp

Our annual Summer camp has been affected for the second year by the risks and restrictions of Covid-19. Unfortunately, we were unable to host our full 5 day in person program, but we were determined to provide something to give hope and joy to the youth who have been in lockdowns and restrictions over the past two years. Our compromise was to offer a 3 day hybrid (online/offline) program. Wednesday Online 2-5pm, Thursday Offline 10am-2pm OR Thursday Online 10am-12:30pm, Friday Online 10-12pm. It was the best we could offer given the heightened restrictions that came in Dec-January 2022 with the Delta strain. Our online talks were given by Simeon Cannon, Daniel Ridley, Andrew Sylvester on the passage 1 John 2:28-3:3, and a seminar by Esther Sylvester on a biblical understanding of anxiety and depression. This program was a well coordinated feat executed by our mentors team who went out of their way to hand deliver personalised packages to every youth’s home, and make sure all youth whether they participated online or offline were loved, cared for and felt known by them. We do look forward to seeing youth face to face in real life, but also we look forward to seeing Jesus face to face one day when he returns where we will not hide away in fear or shame, but in confidence and hope!
