This year, we explored the fact that we all struggle with “Insecurity”. Scott Brown shared the reason why everyone feels this way (sin and a broken a world), and he also shared what things we can be secure about. Namely, we can be sure about God who loves us and sent his son to deal with our insecurity once and for all! We can be sure that through Jesus we have 100% assurance of salvation, we are hidden in Christ, and that we have a sure hope for the future when he returns. Things are still broken in this world, we still suffer, and struggle with our insecurities, but we can live in confidence, joy and hope that it will not last. So we should live our lives with this perspective of what’s to come and not wallow in self pity, judgment, shame and all the rest. And never lose our sense of security that Christ’s death for us was completely sufficient to God.
