#nofilter: Reason to be Real was the theme for 2017 and it was such a great reminder for all of us millennials about how God sees through every filter we put up and sees us for who we really are. No matter what we do to filter ourselves, God knows us completely, our shameful secrets and habits, thought life, actions, experiences… everything! He knows how broken, hurt, sinful we are and deserving of death/separation from God… yet while we were still sinners, Jesus died that death we should have died for us to restore us to a living hope in God. Because of this, we should now life with #nofilter to those around us, we have a reason to be real, shining our true identity of forgiven sinner to all.
